Offerings

While every retreat will allow for as much unstructured time in nature as you like, we have found that having various offerings available to trip participants can open up new pathways of connection and healing. Every trip has offerings built-in, but they can also be customized with the offerings you see here, each of which will be tailored to both the instructor and the location.

Yoga

We believe movement, however it manifests, is the core of embodiment and is essential to a healthful mind-body relationship. To that end, most of our staff are certified yoga instructors and can offer a wide variety of yoga classes and series including Vinyasa, Hatha, Yin, Restorative, and more.

Forest Bathing

Shinrin-Yoku is a Japanese practice that literally translates to "forest bathing." Our forest bathing guides are trained in a modified version that focuses not only on slow and intentional wandering through nature, but also on awakening the senses, both bodily and imaginal, in order to feel not just in nature but a part of it.

Sound Baths

We know that everything is vibration and that sound and music have the power to change us at a cellular level, facilitating deep healing and alignment that can only truly be arrived at through the special medium of sonic healing.

Guided Hikes

Guided hiking, led by knowledgeable and experienced naturalists and wilderness first responders, are always on offer. We believe that becoming familiar with a place happens not only through the body and the heart but also through scientific understanding. Our guides will offer knowledge of surrounding plants, animals, geology and watersheds in service of your growing connection to the land.

Guided Meditation

Sitting meditation can help to center and ground us while offering a space in which to simply breathe and be present in your body. From Vipassana to Metta to Guided Visualizations, we believe in the power of meditation to bring both body and spirit into alignment, opening up the possibility for growth, healing, and connection.

Giving Back to the Land

We have found that while being present with and getting to know the land can be a wonderful and often healing experience, the healing is deeper when reciprocity is involved. In order to honor the gifts we receive from the land, we offer environmental service experiences in cooperation with local non-profits that allow us to give something back.
