Ella Richie DeMaria is a recent resident of the high desert. She is a frequent explorer of the Mojave wilderness and appreciator of its manifold mysterious beauties. She is currently working towards an A.S. degree in the earth sciences. She is also certified to teach yoga and to administer basic wilderness first aid. Ella is excited to offer a geology walk through a special section of the national park where we will observe the ancient processes which have shaped the high desert.

Alex Halenda

Yoga Teacher, Meditation Guide, Evolutionary Luminary

Alex Halenda has been teaching yoga for over 13 years. She found yoga as a teenager while seeking a mindfulness practice that could provide her a sense of comfort and wellbeing in body and mind. Since then, her passion for supporting students of all levels and all walks of life has fueled her growth and service. Through her years of teaching, Alex has seen her students discover a sense of contentment, acceptance, strength, openness, confidence, tolerance and peace. At the studio, on retreat, and through her regular events she has seen lifelong friendships in the making, heard the inspiration that's been found and felt the embrace of true community. These are just a few of the reasons why she has dedicated her life to sharing this practice with anyone who shows interest. Alex has multiple 200 Hour RYTs, as well as YACEP and E-RYT, with over 8,000 hours of teaching experience.

Amanda Petro

Yoga Teacher

Reiki Master

Sound Healer

Amanda Petro is a certified Yoga Teacher, Reiki Master and Sound Healer offering wellness practices to LA county since 2015. Being raised in Altadena, her love for the outdoors bloomed as a child when she spent most of her time playing outside. Growing up, she explored her local natural areas as a way to connect with herself and her environment. Health, wellness and being active was instilled in her at a young age. With a background in competitive gymnastics and having a mother who made home cooked meals every day, movement and eating well was foundational. She expanded on this way of life into adulthood by exploring the magic of National Parks, cooking glorious meals by the fire and also experiencing hikes that challenged her mentally and physically. Her vinyasa yoga classes are well balanced, funky and fun! They are equal parts challenging and inspirational, she takes pride in her accessible instruction, mindful cueing and expert sequencing. Amanda is so grateful to be a part of this incredible team of healers, explorers and nature lovers! She hopes to provide a safe container for her clients to dive deep within and fill their cup from all that is offered by Little Earth Retreats.
